About North Bay Health and Safety Consultants

North Bay Health & Safety Consultants was founded by Jim Barrios, a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), a California State Fire Instructor, an Associate Faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College, and Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP).  The CSP certification is the gold standard and most highly recognized accreditation in the health and safety industry awarded by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Jim has amassed over 30 years of experience in the health and safety field including several years experience in the private sector, government sector, and the fire service. 

 North Bay Health & Safety Consultants has extensive expertise in Cal/OSHA and federal OSHA regulations and is experienced in inspections and negotiations with Cal/OSHA inspectors.  

With a bachelor's degree in journalism, a master's of science degree in crisis communications, and a decade of teaching experience in the fire service, Jim Barrios is uniquely qualified to develop and maintain your OSHA-compliant written safety plans and training programs.
